On November 15, 2024, the Council of Elders unanimously approved a resolution to transfer the office of Senior Elder (Leader) from David Crone to Ryan Crone and to present the resolution to The Mission members for ratification at the Members meeting on February 23rd, 2025. Here are a few questions and answers that may be helpful. If you have any more questions, submit them using the link below.

  • What is the office of Senior Elder?

The person holding the office of Senior Elder is often referred to as the Senior Pastor, or in The Mission culture, Senior Leader. This office is a governmental position and is responsible for all things related to The Mission. This includes President of the corporation and Chairman of the Council of Elders.

  • What will change if Ryan Crone is ratified as the new Senior Elder/Leader?

As it relates to existing function there will be little noticeable change. Ryan has directed all the functions of the local ministry for over 6 years and acted as the Associate Senior Leader for the last two years under the authority delegated by David. However, if ratified, all ministries, local and global, would fall under his direct responsibility and authority.

In terms of governmental authority, Ryan would become the Senior Elder, taking on the responsibility of President of the Corporation and Chairman of the Council of Elders.

  • What will be the role of David and Deborah?

David and Deborah will continue to serve the people and ministries of The Mission, taking responsibilities where needed. These would include mentoring Leadership team, speaking and teaching as assigned, and overseeing the global arm of The Mission.

  • Why is this transition important?

David has served as Senior Elder/Leader for over thirty years. David and Deborah believe it is time to pass the mantle of Senior leadership to the next generation. They believe this will open territory in both the spiritual and the natural realms for the next generation of leaders to step into and govern.
